Tutoring Experience

I have 3 years of experience teaching and tutoring varying levels of calculus, highschool through college level. I have tutored 3 students one on one 2019-2021 helping them raise their grades from C to A/B range. In my teaching as a calculus course assistant at Harvard University, I ran an extra help session which helped all students who attended (about 20 from the 30 person class) raise their grades. Specifically, 2 students who were in range of failing tremendously improved their grades by attending my tutoring sessions.

Tutoring Approach

Mathematics, Statistics, Calculus: I work through problems together with students (content from textbooks, homework etc.) and create templates from which students can draw on for similar problems. Additionally I focus on developing students’ studying techniques: how to create an effective study guide, how to ask the right questions and really understand what a problem is asking, this way students can feel more in control of their learning.
