Tutoring Experience

I have been an online Tutor since the summer of 2020. When I started, students (mostly in their junior and senior high school) submit the pictures of problems they found difficult to solve so that I could monitor their queries from backend on the daily basis and provide detailed thorough solutions for them, as well as points that require paying attention to.

Not long after, I found that some types of problems appeared particularly frequently, so I summarized the pattern, made them into a booklet characterized it by topics and shared it with students. This has been a solution to most of the confusions faced by my previous students!

Tutoring Approach

A-Level

Maths & Physics - First, identify the areas that my student needs improvements on and causes of the problems, for example, the complexity of formulas that puts burden on memory or the misunderstanding of concepts. Second, customise the methods based on the causes, and I found it usually helpful to reproduce the derivation or demonstrate the inner connection between topics. Third, practice and reflect on mistakes.
