Our tutors go through a rigorous selection process, having been interviewed to assess their teaching skills and subject knowledge. They have extensive tutoring experience with a track record of success, helping students achieve their academic goals.

Tutoring Experience

During my time in sixth form, I took on a proactive role in mentoring both lower school and GCSE students as a Physics Ambassador. Through peer programs, I actively guided students in understanding complex concepts, and played a key role in hosting maths challenges and the annual science fair, encouraging a deeper engagement with STEM subjects.

In addition to this, I offered significant support to my peers in mathematics by providing detailed worked solutions to challenging problems. This experience helped me refine my ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and effectively, a skill that has been invaluable in my tutoring.

My mentoring experience extended to a group of GCSE chemistry students of mixed abilities, where I focused on fostering both intuition and technique. This hands-on approach helped students develop a stronger grasp of the subject matter, boosting their confidence and performance.

Beyond academics, I have spent five years as a Young Leader at a local Girlguiding Brownies division, where I supported young girls in developing a wide range of skills. This role not only honed my leadership abilities but also reinforced my commitment to helping others achieve their full potential. I am now eager to extend this passion for mentoring and education by offering tutoring in GCSE Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as A-level Mathematics.

Additionally, I provide specialized support for students preparing for the Engineering Section of the Sixth Term Examination Paper (ESAT) and offer guidance for Oxbridge applications, particularly for engineering candidates. My goal is to help students navigate their academic journey with confidence and achieve excellence in their studies.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is grounded in a commitment to fostering both understanding and confidence in my students. Drawing from my experience as a first-class Engineering graduate from Oxford University and my extensive mentoring background, I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of my students, ensuring they develop a strong foundation in the subject matter while also cultivating problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
