Tutoring Experience

I have 6 years of experience tutoring Mathematics for both IGCSE and A-Level students. Over these years, I have delivered more than 1200 hours of classes, significantly improving the grades and understanding of over 80 students. In this journey, I've developed a great relationship with my students and their parents, often being appreciated for my patience and adaptability to each student's learning style.

Besides private tutoring, I have also conducted Maths workshop sessions for struggling students in several high schools in Kuala Lumpur. Here, I employed my strong communication skills to simplify complex mathematical problems and concepts for them. Furthermore, I volunteered as a mentor for an educational outreach program in Malaysia, where I guided underprivileged children in Maths.

Tutoring Approach

Teaching mathematics is more than just imparting knowledge, it's about sparking curiosity. In my approach, I start by identifying the current proficiency level of the student and the specific areas they struggle with. I then tailor my lessons to focus on these areas, making sure to break down complex concepts into digestible parts.

For exam preparation, I familiarise my students with the format and type of questions they can expect in the papers. I provide them with comprehensive notes, worksheets, and past paper questions. This, in addition to conducting regular tests to track their progress, enables them to approach the exams with confidence.

I also believe in teaching beyond the curriculum - inspiring students to see the relevance and beauty of Maths in daily life, thereby fostering a love for the subject.
