Tutoring Experience

I love working with students and teaching mathematics.

I was taught by a great tutor and loved solving math problems. I had a great interest in this subject and was taught so well, I pursued for more knowledge in this field. I hope to help someone love math and enjoy solving mathematical problems as well.

My strongest subject is Mathematics, however, I am equipped with teaching reading and writing as well. And as a student, I am very familiar with the structures of exams and will be able to better teach one.

Most of my students (93%) are able to achieve their desired scores and colleges, such as Cornell University, Boston College, and Columbia University. I would love to work with you and talk more on how I can help you.

Tutoring Approach

For SAT/ ACT/test prep subjects, I always start off by assessing the student’s fundamentals in the subjects required for the exam. We will start with the basics concepts and work our way onto the complex concepts.

The harder concepts build on top and utilizes the fundamental skills so, I make sure the student is comfortable with the underlying topics first. After we cover the fundamentals and the concepts needed for the exam, we will transition into implementing those skills onto test prep questions.

I will help break down the question into simpler terms for the student, help draw a connection between the questions and the concepts we have previously covered, and cover strategies to effectively tackle the test prep questions. Shortly after, we will work on timing for the exam.
