Tutoring Experience

At St Olave's Grammar School, I secured 3 A*s at A-level, and at the University of Oxford, I excelled in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, attaining a 1st in my final exams. Remarkably, I ranked 5th out of 88 students that year.

During my school years, I took on the role of a mentor, guiding younger peers in Spanish, Science, and Maths. Over the last three years at university, I've been mentoring A-Level students in Biology and Chemistry. Beyond subject-specific guidance, I've also assisted students in preparing for Oxbridge Admissions in Biochemistry, Biology, and Biomedical Sciences. This included fostering their passion for their field, honing interview skills, and aiding in crafting compelling personal statements.

My academic prowess was further acknowledged in 2019 when I secured the 1st place award for Salters-Nuffield A-Level Biology, a distinction reserved for the top five scorers annually. Come October 2023, I'm set to embark on a PhD journey in Genomic Medicine and Statistics at Oxford.

For over three years, I've tutored diverse students in A-level biology and chemistry, catering to their varied academic aspirations. Outside of academics, I volunteer for several Oxbridge outreach charities. My role there involves supporting science education for underprivileged students and guiding them towards admission in prominent Russell Group universities.

In my tutorials, I prioritize each client's unique needs, meticulously preparing for each session. I'm a strong proponent of practicing exam questions, as I firmly believe it's instrumental in mastering any subject.

Tutoring Approach

I carefully plan each lesson based on what my students need. One big part of my teaching is working on exam questions together.

I believe this really helps students get better. When students can answer exam questions, it shows they really understand the topic.

Many of my students have found this way of learning very helpful.
