Tutoring Experience

Through tutoring my previous students, I have developed a deep understanding of the value of personalized education. I have provided tutoring to students in subjects such as Maths, History, and English language during their GCSEs.

I have extended my help to numerous students from my Sixth Form, guiding them through the TSA preparations for their university applications as well. Through these experiences, I have come to appreciate the significance of meeting students at their individual levels and working collaboratively with them to help them attain their highest potential.

I aim to empower students and enable them to excel academically by adjusting my style of tutoring according to what works best for the student.

Tutoring Approach

With a deep understanding of effective learning strategies, I am proficient in comprehending and assisting students in their educational journeys.

My primary objective is to empower students and facilitate their academic excellence by adapting my tutoring style to suit their individual needs. By knowing that different students thrive under different approaches, I strive to create an interactive tutoring environment.

This interactive style allows for dynamic engagement, fostering active participation and enhancing the learning experience. With personalized instruction and a commitment to understanding each student's unique learning preferences.

For Section 1 of the TSA, the most important thing is consistent and effective practice of the types of questions that will be asked. Second to this is to be disciplined with timings in the exam.

Both of these I will teach to students. I will do this first by getting the student to answer a selection of questions I have prepared, without time constraints, and explaining their thought process. I will then use this to teach them how to go about answering the different style of TSA questions, in a way tailored to how they think.

I will make sure that the students are making good progress on learning the answer techniques both by going through specific questions with the student during the tutorial, and setting them TSA questions to go through between tutorials.

Once the student has reached the level they need to get, I can help students by giving them practical advice on how to write the Section 2 Essay in 1 tutorial, and will be happy to mark an essay both before and after this tutorial.
