Tutoring Experience

Over the past five years, I've taught IB English Literature, Theory of Knowledge, and Extended Essay sessions, accumulating more than 200 hours of one-on-one tutoring. My focus is on honing my students' analytical and writing skills, helping them navigate the complex waters of English Literature.


My passion and commitment to education have resulted in consistent improvements in my students' grades. Moreover, I've worked as a Teaching Assistant in the English Department of the American University of Sharjah, supplementing my tutoring experiences with classroom teaching. I've had the opportunity to foster a multicultural understanding of literature, thanks to my diverse pool of students from various countries.

My teaching philosophy is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for all my students. For English Literature, we start by identifying the texts or coursework they require assistance with and gauge their existing knowledge.


My approach includes detailed discussions on characters, themes, narrative styles, and historical context, aiming to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the text. For unseen texts, we work on rapid analysis, drafting structured essay plans, and effective techniques for writing introductions and conclusions.


Feedback on independent work is integral to my approach, ensuring students understand their areas of improvement. For Theory of Knowledge, we focus on honing critical thinking and argument structuring skills, fostering intellectual curiosity and philosophical thought.
