Tutoring Experience
Private LSAT and SAT tutor for the past 3 months, have helped students raise scores significantly and increase their test taking confidence. I have been tutoring high school math since I myself was in high school with great success.
Tutoring Approach
LSAT: Begin with a diagnostic test (full prep test) to asses where their strengths and weaknesses are. Then move on to going through how to diagram the Logic Games. The first session is about figuring out how the student thinks. Subsequent sessions will involve them completing a new prep test for each session and going over answers and strategies.
SAT: Begin with a diagnostic test (full prep test) to asses where their strengths and weaknesses are. Then we would review the various math skills and grammar rules necessary for this exam. Before we begin practicing the actual test I would want to ensure they feel confident and comfortable with the information they are expected to know for the exam. Subsequent sessions will involve them completing a new prep test for each session and going over answers and strategies.
Math: We will go over homework, exams, and class notes to ensure comfort with the material. I will also find extra practice problems in the areas in which the student needs more practice or feels more uncertain.
