Tutoring Experience

I have 15 years of experience as a Mathematics educator at Schule Schloss Salem, a prestigious international boarding school in southern Germany.

I specialized in teaching Pre-IB/IB Maths for grades 9 to 12 and initiated Maths Support Groups to help students of all skill levels. I also provided private tutoring in English and German.

Later, I taught IB MYP Maths for grades 7 and 8, along with IB DP AI SL Maths for grade 11 at the Bavarian International School near Munich.

My teaching philosophy focuses on inspiring students and making Math engaging. I stress active student participation and the practical application of Math in the real world, drawing from my aerospace industry background.I tailor my teaching to accommodate diverse student abilities and learning styles, emphasizing independent learning and a collaborative environment.

In addition, I have a strong academic background, including 9 'O' Levels with commendable grades from Bromsgrove School, and 5 'A' Levels, including Further Maths, from South Bromsgrove High School. I earned a B.Sc. Hons. in Physics with a 2.1 classification at the University of Birmingham and pursued a master's in Applied Geophysics there.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in the "I can" approach and want to share it with my students. I think that if you work hard, stay determined, and never give up, you can achieve anything.

I also believe that keeping things simple helps understand complex ideas, so I'll always explain math concepts in an easy-to-understand way.I'm excited to meet you and help you succeed in Maths and Physics. My main goal is to guide and support you on your journey to becoming better at these subjects. We'll build on the "I can" mindset together, giving you the confidence and skills to tackle math challenges.
