Tutoring Experience

I have six years of experience tutoring IB Mathematics, helping students develop strong problem-solving skills and exam techniques. My own academic success includes a perfect IB score (45/45), top 15% Oxford MAT score, and top 1% SAT score, which reflect my deep mathematical expertise. During my gap year, I further refined my mathematical abilities by achieving a perfect GPA in computer science at the University of Helsinki. My passion for mathematics stems from its real-world applications, and I am committed to helping students break down complex problems, master exam strategies, and develop a structured approach to solving mathematical questions.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is highly interactive and tailored to each student’s needs. I begin by understanding what the student wants from the lesson, whether it’s clarifying difficult concepts, preparing for exams, or working through past papers. I ask students why they think they aren’t yet at a 7 IB level, helping them identify gaps in their understanding and building a plan to bridge them. I also assess their knowledge through targeted test questions, ensuring they can apply what they’ve learned under exam conditions. Unlike traditional classroom teaching, where individual attention is limited, my sessions focus on engagement and active problem-solving, making the most out of every tutoring session to help students achieve their full potential.
