Tutoring Experience

I commenced my tutoring journey during my final year of university, assisting fellow undergraduates with challenging Maths concepts. Not long after, I branched into high school Maths tutoring, covering both the IGCSE and IB curriculums. Within a year, I have confidently taught over 20 students, all of whom have shown marked improvement. Many began our sessions struggling with foundational principles, but with tailored attention, they soon found joy and competence in solving Maths problems. Recently, one of my IB students achieved a grade 7 in Maths, a significant leap from her initial grade 4, demonstrating the effectiveness of our collaborative sessions.

Tutoring Approach

For me, tutoring is not just about transmitting knowledge – it's about building bridges of understanding. My primary aim is to create a nurturing space where students can ask questions without hesitation. I believe in simplifying complex topics through relatable, real-world examples which resonate with students, making abstract Maths tangible. I also introduce interactive digital tools and apps to diversify the learning process and make it more engaging. Furthermore, I emphasize the importance of consistent practice. Regular assignments and feedback are paramount in my approach, ensuring that students grasp and retain the essence of each topic.
