Tutoring Experience

I have over a decade of experience teaching in IB schools, covering MYP and DP English Language and Literature, English B, and Theory of Knowledge. I've taken on leadership roles such as Diploma Coordinator, Extended Essay Coordinator, TOK Coordinator, and Head of English.

Additionally, I've spent five years as an IBDP English examiner, evaluating the Individual Oral and Paper 2. For the past three years, I've been tutoring in English and TOK, aiding students in their academic journeys. I began teaching the IB Diploma in 2016, became an English Language and Literature examiner in 2018, and ventured into tutoring by 2020.

My primary expertise lies in preparing students for the Individual Oral, High-Level Essay, Paper 1, and Paper 2, backed by my experience as an examiner. I've also guided students in preparing for the TOK Exhibition and Essay.

Tutoring Approach

I would say the key to excellent tutoring is taking a student-centered approach. I first want to know what the student wants to achieve, and how they want to achieve it.

I’m flexible and experienced enough to adapt my approach to what works best for the student. Some students want help with a specific task, assessment, or text, so that is what I focus on with them

However, other students want continuous support throughout the IB Diploma, and of course I am happy to undertake that kind of long term tutoring.
