Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring IB DP students for several years since completing the IBDP with top marks in Physics and Chemistry. My tutoring focuses on supporting students with core topics, including mechanics, thermodynamics, chemical bonding, and reaction kinetics.

I have helped students of varying abilities improve their understanding of difficult concepts, prepare for assessments, and achieve excellent grades. Whether through long-term sessions to enhance overall performance or short, focused sessions to tackle specific challenges, my students have consistently seen significant improvements.

Tutoring Approach

Before each session, I ask students to specify topics they’d like to focus on, enabling me to prepare by selecting relevant questions and exam-style problems. My lessons emphasise breaking down complex concepts in Physics and Chemistry into manageable parts, helping students connect theory with practical applications.

I use past papers extensively to familiarise students with IB exam formats and strategies. During sessions, I guide students through problem-solving, encourage them to explain their thought processes, and offer targeted feedback to address weaknesses.

To make lessons interactive, I use tools like my iPad for detailed explanations and recommend supplementary resources, such as videos or online simulations, for further exploration. By fostering a supportive environment, I aim to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and equip students with the skills to excel in IB Physics and Chemistry.
