Tutoring Experience

Over the past 10 years, I have accumulated an extensive tutoring experience spanning more than 2000 hours of lessons, primarily focused on IB Mathematics. I have guided a multitude of students, each with different learning styles and academic goals, resulting in significant improvements in their understanding and grades.


My proudest achievement as a tutor was guiding a student who initially struggled with Mathematics to achieve a 7 in his IB HL Maths exams. Furthermore, I have held teaching positions at summer schools in Turkey, imparting my knowledge and love for Mathematics to a larger audience.


Beyond the academic realm, my tutoring has not only been about teaching Mathematics, but also about fostering a growth mindset in my students, helping them understand that perseverance in the face of challenges is an integral part of learning.

I believe in a personalized and flexible approach to teaching. Each student has unique strengths and weaknesses, so I tailor my lessons accordingly, starting from their current level of understanding and building up from there.


My approach goes beyond just helping them solve problems - I aim to make them understand the 'why' behind every mathematical concept. This involves breaking down complex ideas into simpler, more understandable parts, and encouraging active participation from the student.


As we progress, I consistently assess their understanding through quizzes and practice problems to reinforce what we've learned. As exams approach, I shift the focus to intensive practice using past papers, focusing on problem-solving strategies, and time management techniques. Ultimately, I strive to make Mathematics a less daunting subject for my students, inspiring them to see its beauty and significance.
