Tutoring Experience

With over 5 years of tutoring experience in IB and IGCSE Biology, I've guided more than 100 students to achieve their academic goals. I have designed personalized lesson plans, helped students enhance their critical thinking, and led them to grasp the complexities of Biology. Over the years, I have built strong relationships with both students and parents, receiving positive feedback for my consistent dedication to teaching.

Furthermore, I have worked as a Biology teaching assistant at the National University of Singapore, where I assisted professors in conducting practical classes and clarifying doubts for undergraduate students. In addition, I have participated in and conducted biology workshops in local schools to inspire young minds towards the subject.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to Biology is to make students understand and appreciate the beauty of life sciences. Initially, we will identify areas where students need the most help and tailor lessons accordingly. Understanding is the key in Biology; hence, I always encourage students to ask questions and foster a dialogue rather than a lecture-based learning. We will also use real-life applications and examples wherever possible to make the subject relatable.

For exam preparation, we will work through past papers, and I will guide students in answering techniques and time management. For Internal Assessments, we will brainstorm ideas together, and I will give detailed feedback on the drafts written by the students, assisting them in presenting a cogent argument. My aim is to instil in my students a love for Biology that extends beyond academics.
