Tutoring Experience

I have over five years of tutoring experience at the K-12 and university levels, both professionally and as a volunteer. As a trained peer mentor with the Johns Hopkins Department of Academic Support, I worked as a Study Consultant (2021-2023), helping students develop study skills and exam strategies. In 2022, I was a teaching assistant for Differential Equations, leading weekly classes and grading exams for over 300 students. Currently, I tutor students from Ukraine, the UK, the EU, the Middle East, and Asia, providing intensive exam prep, academic mentorship, project guidance, and college application support. I have experience with university-level courses, IBMYP, IBDP, AP, IGCSE, GCSE, and A-Level curricula.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach begins with a 10-15 minute introduction where I encourage students to share their challenges, build confidence, and establish trust. This helps me understand their specific needs and tailor the session accordingly. I emphasize a mentorship-driven approach, ensuring students feel supported and empowered. Depending on the student's goals, I provide structured exercises, personalized exam papers, and targeted practice using past papers, Cognity, and Revision Village. Regular progress checks, including sharing exam results and setting custom assessments, help track improvement. My focus is on maximizing each session, fostering critical thinking, and equipping students with the tools they need to succeed independently.
