Tutoring Experience

Over the past two years, I've worked as an online tutor, helping IB students from around the world master English and History. I've developed unique methods for explaining complex ideas, which have proven effective in improving students' understanding and results. Before that, I spent a year as a volunteer tutor at a community center in Hong Kong, where I worked with children of all ages, focusing on English literacy and historical understanding. I also have experience teaching at summer camps in mainland China, where I taught English as a second language to children aged 8 to 12. I pride myself on being able to adapt my teaching style to suit the learning styles of different students, and I believe this adaptability is key to my success as a tutor. I'm passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping my students achieve their academic goals. I believe my varied tutoring experiences, coupled with my in-depth knowledge of the IB curriculum, make me an excellent tutor for IB English and History.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach focuses on making learning engaging and applicable. I use real-world situations to explain academic concepts, making them easier to understand. I encourage critical thinking by challenging students to analyze information from different perspectives. I use a variety of technologies to make learning more interactive and engaging, and provide regular feedback to help students improve. My goal is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and asking questions.
