Tutoring Experience

Over the past seven years, I have developed a rich tutoring experience, imparting knowledge in Mathematics to IB students. In total, I have logged over 1300 hours of tutoring, both in person and online. My students range from those who find math challenging to those who wish to further deepen their understanding of complex mathematical concepts. The progress I have witnessed in my students has been highly rewarding - many have improved their grades from 4-5 to a full 7.

I have also helped students prepare their Mathematics IA, and most of them received an A or B grade. Additionally, I have led exam preparation workshops where I offer intensive revision and tips for approaching various types of exam questions. I particularly enjoy seeing the "lightbulb moment" when a student grasps a concept that they have been struggling with.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach involves understanding each student's unique learning style and adapting my methods accordingly. I believe in creating an interactive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their doubts.

In my lessons, I focus on developing a solid understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts. I encourage students to solve problems independently, guiding them only when necessary. This helps them build confidence and problem-solving skills. I regularly assign homework to consolidate their understanding and provide detailed feedback.

As exams approach, I focus on past papers and exam technique, teaching students how to accurately interpret questions and manage their time effectively. I also highlight common mistakes and how to avoid them. My ultimate aim is to make learning mathematics an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.
