Tutoring Experience

I have extensive tutoring experience working in one-on-one and group settings to discuss a range of STEM topics. I specialize in test taking strategies and time management skills as they apply to tests such as the SAT and the MCAT. I have helped students increase their scores from 500 to 700+ plus in each section of the SAT and continue on to elite universities.

I took the MCAT myself in the summer of 2020, and have been working with students since then, results pending. My own success on the MCAT has inspired me to help other students successfully navigate the process.

SAT Tuition Approach

The SAT sections must be approached differently. The math section requires an indepth knowledge of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry topics. When working with students, I assess their content knowledge and plan lessons to fill in the gaps. The reading comprehension section requires time management strategies that will help a student to confidently tackle each new passage

MCAT Tuition Approach

The MCAT requires a detailed plan to review and memorize content before attempting AAMC provided materials. After the content review is completed, I will work with the student to interpret complex passages and marry that comprehension with content knowledge. While reviewing the AAMC provided materials, we will discuss the high yield subjects that consistently give the student trouble and work additional content review into their schedule.
