Tutoring Experience

Over the past five years, I've worked as an IB Mathematics tutor, helping students conquer the complexities of the subject. During this period, I've clocked over 2000 hours of tutoring, guiding students through various topics from calculus to statistics. I've also helped students prepare for their Internal Assessments and Extended Essays in Mathematics.

My teaching journey has led me to students across the globe, each with unique learning styles and academic goals. I've had the pleasure of seeing many of my students achieve 6s and 7s in their Mathematics HL and SL exams, some even receiving full marks.

I feel a sense of accomplishment when I hear that my students are now pursuing careers in fields like engineering, computer science, and data analysis, fuelled by their newfound love for mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

I follow a student-centred teaching approach, ensuring that my students are active participants in their learning process. I believe in breaking down complex ideas into simpler concepts and guiding students to solve problems independently, thereby building their confidence and problem-solving skills.

To prepare for exams, I focus on understanding the requirements of IB exam questions, working through past papers, and providing effective strategies for time management. For Extended Essays and Internal Assessments, I assist with topic selection and provide constructive feedback on structure, content, and presentation.

The ultimate goal of my approach is not only to improve grades but also to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of mathematics.
