Tutoring Experience

I have extensive tutoring experience that complements my decade of classroom teaching. My expertise spans a range of curricula and subjects, including IGCSE History, IBDP History SL and HL, MYP History, and IBDP French SL and HL. Over the years, I have worked with students across different age groups and learning needs, both in-house and through private tutoring. Notably, I spent two years providing in-house IB tutoring for High School History, tailoring lessons to support students in achieving their academic goals. My teaching experience at international schools like Oslo International School and ASEICA has enriched my understanding of diverse student needs, allowing me to adapt my tutoring methods to help students excel in both content mastery and critical thinking.

In my French tutoring, I adopt an interactive and immersive approach, incorporating age-appropriate reading materials, videos, and dialogues that provide real-world context and cultural relevance. Speaking and conversation practice are integral to my lessons, giving students frequent opportunities to actively use French, boosting both their confidence and fluency. By emphasizing comprehension, cultural awareness, and communication, I create a dynamic learning environment that makes mastering the language both effective and enjoyable. This approach helps students develop a balanced proficiency, preparing them for academic and real-world applications of French.
