Tutoring Experience

Over the past 10 years, I've tutored numerous students in IB and IGCSE Chemistry, clocking in over 1,000 hours of tutoring. The key areas I have worked on with students include understanding complex concepts, improving experimental skills, and enhancing their analytical thinking. My students have shown marked improvement in their grades, and many of them have gone on to study Chemistry at university.

Aside from one-on-one tutoring, I've also facilitated group discussions and conducted review sessions to prepare students for exams. I've consistently received positive feedback from students and parents alike for my ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Tutoring Approach

I firmly believe in the principle of "learning by doing". To that end, I focus on providing a hands-on approach to Chemistry. I guide students through practical exercises that reinforce the theoretical concepts we've discussed. For exam preparations, I focus on working through past papers to build familiarity with the format and to hone problem-solving skills. I provide feedback on a regular basis and adjust our tutoring sessions based on the student's progress.

For IAs, I support students in choosing appropriate topics and developing their experimental design and data analysis skills. My goal is to build their confidence and foster a deeper understanding of Chemistry.
