Tutoring Experience

During my studies at both University of Toronto and Case Western Reserve University, I have taken numerous difficult science courses. Through it all, I developed the skills required to make effective studying schedules that helped me excel through all of these courses.

I have been tutoring high school students in all areas of science and have always received positive feedback from my students. My students commend me for my well-designed study plans and effective test taking strategies.

During my post-baccalaureate at Case Western, I was required to take a MCAT based group learning course which revolved around students teaching and learning from each other about difficult topics on the MCAT. Throughout this year long course, I learned how to effectively teach MCAT topics and also how to tailor my explanations to different learning styles.

Tutoring Approach

My MCAT teaching approach is focused on determining what exactly my students require. I like to begin by establishing what the expectations and goals are, followed up by designing a personalized study schedule and format. We will work together to target areas of weakness, discuss frequently about test taking strategies and the logic that the test makers use to design their questions. My lessons will also consist of doing a lot of practise problems together to get my students acclimated to the unique question style of the MCAT.

I am extremely flexible and will try my best to fulfil what my students want out of each lesson.
