Tutoring Experience

I have spent the last four years tutoring IB Mathematics, accumulating over 1200 hours of tutoring experience. I've had the privilege of guiding students from a wide range of backgrounds and aptitudes.

My aim is not only to help my students achieve academic excellence but also to instill a deep appreciation for the elegance of Mathematics. The growth and success of my students are my greatest rewards. I have seen students evolve from struggling to understand basic concepts to mastering complex mathematical problems.

In addition to my private tutoring, I've worked as a Maths tutor in a local after-school program, further honing my skills and gaining experience in dealing with students of diverse needs and capabilities. My approach to tutoring Mathematics is rooted in understanding the individual learning styles and needs of each student. I believe that every student can excel in Mathematics given the right guidance and support.

I start by assessing the student's existing knowledge and then plan lessons to strengthen their understanding of foundational concepts. I place a strong emphasis on problem-solving, encouraging students to approach each problem with a logical and analytical mindset. To make learning engaging, I often incorporate real-world examples and applications of mathematical concepts. Regular assessments allow me to gauge student progress and adapt my teaching style as needed.

I also spend significant time discussing study techniques and exam strategies, aiming to build self-confidence and reduce exam-related stress. My aim is to provide a supportive learning environment that challenges students while building their love for Mathematics.
