Tutoring Experience

With over 16 years of experience as a private tutor, I specialize in international curricula, particularly IB DP HL/SL Chemistry, as well as IGCSE and A-level. My tutoring approach is highly personalized, adapting to each student's unique needs to unlock their full potential. I maintain open communication with parents and managers, providing regular, detailed progress reports to ensure growth and proactively address challenges. My commitment lies in motivating students through tailored resources and close progress monitoring, with the goal of not only improving academic performance but also fostering confidence and a deep understanding of the subject.

Tutoring Approach

After a 20-30 minute introduction call to understand what the student has covered in school and where they are facing difficulties, I take a highly interactive approach to tutoring, constantly asking questions to keep them engaged and ensure active learning. My priority is addressing any significant knowledge gaps before diving deeper into the material. Using past papers and assigning regular homework, I help students stay consistently revised and prepared. My questioning strategy not only helps retain their attention but also promotes critical thinking and deeper understanding.

As a former IB examiner, I offer a unique advantage by creating personalized mock exams that reflect the type of questions students are likely to encounter, ensuring they are well-prepared with fresh challenges they haven’t seen before. For IB-level students, if I notice a lack of progress, I communicate openly with parents and work to resolve any problems as quickly as possible. My ultimate goal is to maintain student engagement while fostering confidence and mastery in the subject.
