Tutoring Experience

I have extensive teaching experience in Ancient History and Classics, having worked as a Graduate Teacher at the University of Oxford, leading interactive courses on historical texts and concepts. I have also taught summer school programs at Jesus College and Peterhouse, Cambridge, as well as Pembroke College, Oxford, where I designed and delivered engaging lessons for high school students interested in Classics and History. My tutoring experience includes preparing students for the History Aptitude Test (HAT) and the Classics Admissions Test (CLAT), as well as guiding them through Oxbridge applications. I also tutor IB, A-Level, GCSE, and IGCSE History, helping students improve their essay writing, source analysis, and exam techniques.

Tutoring Approach

I start by giving students a comprehensive questionnaire to understand their specific needs and objectives in History or Classics. From there, I tailor each lesson to address their weaker areas while building confidence in their strengths. My lessons often begin with a historical source or thought-provoking question, encouraging students to think critically and engage in discussion. I integrate regular testing, practice tasks, and mock papers to track progress and improve exam skills. By fostering curiosity and active participation, I help students develop structured arguments, analytical thinking, and strong essay-writing skills.
