Tutoring Experience

I have extensive teaching experience in Ancient History, Classics, and related subjects, having served as a Graduate Teacher at the University of Oxford and leading courses that foster critical analysis and discussion of historical texts and concepts. Additionally, I have taught summer school programs at Jesus College and Peterhouse in Cambridge, as well as Pembroke College in Oxford, where I designed and delivered interactive lessons for high school students interested in Classics and History. My tutoring background includes successfully preparing numerous students for the History Aptitude Test (HAT) and offering tailored guidance for Oxbridge applications, including the Classics Admissions Test (CLAT), and I also teach IB, A-Level, GCSE, and IGCSE curricula. As a native Italian speaker, I provide Italian language instruction to learners of all levels, helping them build a strong foundation in both written and spoken Italian.

Regular testing, practice tasks, and mock papers play a key role in my approach, as they not only track progress but also refine exam techniques. I strive to start each lesson with something engaging—such as a thought-provoking question or a lively discussion prompt—and maintain a dialogue throughout, fostering curiosity and active participation to help students build both confidence and competence.
