Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience teaching Italian at IB and A-Level, helping students master grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances. As a native Italian speaker, I provide expert guidance in both spoken and written Italian, ensuring my students gain confidence in communication and academic writing. I have successfully prepared students for language exams, offering personalised instruction in essay writing, comprehension, and oral fluency. Beyond one-on-one tutoring, I have taught language and history courses at summer schools in Cambridge and Oxford, where I designed and led interactive lessons for high school students. My experience in academic mentoring also includes supporting students with personal statements and university applications, particularly for Oxbridge admissions.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor each lesson to my students’ needs, beginning with a questionnaire to assess their strengths and challenges. My lessons focus on reading, listening, speaking, and writing, incorporating real-world texts, dialogues, and interactive exercises to enhance fluency. I emphasise discussion and analysis, helping students refine their communication skills. Regular testing, essay practice, and mock oral exams ensure steady progress and exam readiness. My goal is to make language learning engaging and effective, building my students' confidence and enjoyment of Italian.
