Tutoring Experience
Throughout my tutoring journey, I've had the privilege of assisting students at various academic levels and institutions. Starting from 2009 to 2010, I supported year 10 and 11 maths lessons while completing my A-levels. Transitioning to university, from 2012 to 2014, I mentored first-year undergraduates at Sussex University, fostering their academic growth.
Additionally, between 2011 and 2012, I served as a classroom assistant through the First Generation Scholars scheme at the Brighton Aldridge Academy, providing invaluable support to students. From 2014 to 2018, I furthered my tutoring experience by conducting workshops for Sussex University undergraduates in a diverse range of Maths courses. During this time, I also served as a student support assistant tutor for second-year Maths University courses at Sussex University from 2016 to 2018. In the realm of online tutoring, my journey expanded from 2015 to 2018 as I provided comprehensive support online, covering subjects ranging from Maths to Statistics. Building on this experience, since 2023, I have focused on online tutoring, specializing in KS3, GCSE, IB and A-Level Maths, Statistics, and Computer Science.
Through personalized instruction and a dedication to student success, I continue to contribute to the academic journey of students across various subjects and levels.
Tutoring Approach
I strive to create engaging and purposeful lessons that foster active participation and achievement of objectives. By incorporating real-life examples, I bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, enhancing comprehension and retention.
My expertise lies in deconstructing intricate theoretical concepts into manageable components, facilitating step-by-step learning and problem-solving. Central to my teaching philosophy is the cultivation of a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere, where each student feels valued and supported. Furthermore, I customise my teaching approach to cater to the unique needs and learning styles of individual students, ensuring effective and personalised instruction. Through these methods, I aim to empower students to reach their full potential and success.
