University of Cambridge - Natural Sciences
I am very enthusiatic to help students in any way I can - whether that be A Levels, University Admissions Exams or Interview Prep. My particular areas of interest include Quantum Mechanics snd Electromagnetism - with the goals to include taking all additional theoretical courses in my final year of my BA so as to set myself up well for a MSc in Physics the following year.

Personally Interviewed
Our tutors go through a rigorous selection process, having been interviewed to assess their teaching skills and subject knowledge. They have extensive tutoring experience with a track record of success, helping students achieve their academic goals.
Tutoring Experience
My first tutoring experience was during my A level studies when I volunteered to tutor student on GCSE grades – this was typically with larger class sizes and I felt the approach needed refining for more 1-1 sessions however this wasn’t practical at my school.
Recently, I have been tutoring primarily in Cambridge applications, specialising in NSAA prep and areas of knowledge building to prepare students for interviews and undergraduate life. I would like to reach even more students and help them improve their skills.
Tutoring Approach
For knowledge building sessions, I enjoy planning 5 lesson courses specialising in certain areas of undergraduate Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The first four lessons are similar to lessons where we go through new ideas, talk about them and then apply them to practice questions together. The student then receives homework on the new content to hand in at the next session where we discuss their answers. The final lesson is devoted entirely to exam questions and pushing the student to their limits.
For undergraduate admissions exams, the student and I work our way through practice questions and choose topics that specifically challenge them. We may have lessons on content – but if the student is confident then all time is devoted to exam technique and any ‘tips and tricks’ that can help them score a little higher. They receive mock exams and specially selected questions for homework between lessons and I encourage them to message me to ask for help during the week if they get stuck. Interview sessions follow a structure like that of knowledge building, except I find it much more beneficial to have many mini ‘trial interviews’ on certain topics the student is less confident on.
Together, we work on making our thought processes clear and concise, while demonstrating a passion for the Natural Sciences. We also focus on the problems which trouble the student the most – ranging from sketching difficult curves all the way to typical thought experiment questions.
