Tutoring Experience

For two years, I served as a tutor at Bexley Grammar School, the very institution where I undertook my IB Diploma studies. During this tenure, I guided both GCSE and IB students, specializing in Mathematics and Economics.

My passion for finance and economics didn't just stop at teaching; at the age of 16, I delved into the professional world with internships at major financial institutions.

I kickstarted my internship journey at HSBC in commercial banking in August 2019. This was followed by a stint at Morgan Stanley in September 2021, where I gained experience across Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, DCM, and ECM. Moreover, I spent the summer of 2021, from June to August, interning at Cheyne Capital, focusing on real estate and risk management.

Tutoring Approach

I run my lessons in a personalised way in order to maximise the learning for each individual student as the style of learning varies from student to student. I intend to use conceptual learning methods rather than memory-based as this builds fundamental mastery of the subject.

Also, I will run through different styles of questions for each topic as often in exams, the layout of the question rather than the theory can throw students off and lead to lost marks without lacking the knowledge of theory.

Once I believe the student is ready, I shall present mock exam questions which should lead to the student increasing their efficiency in tackling questions. Specifically for economics, I would also like to present real-world case studies which I can derive from my own experiences which can give students a unique edge in their exams.
