Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for physics. As a result, I selected to study it in both the IB and university, where I achieved a First Class BSc in Physics. As I studied Physics at IB, I know very well how challenging the workload can be, and I am also very well acquainted with the exam question style. As such, I am always keen on both teaching the theory and the methods to unlocking and successfully answering different types of exam questions.

Tutoring Experience

I have over a year of experience tutoring IB Physics and physics IA preparation. I have developed many materials including detailed notes in the form of presentations and varied worksheets to target specific topics as well as types of problems. I have helped my students learn, revise, and successfully prepare for the IB Physics exam in both HL and SL. Many of my students see quick improvement with regular lessons, however over a period of time most will achieve at least a 6 in their final exams.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is complete tailored to each student depending on what they need. In my experience it is best to start with a revision of the material at a suitable pace with short past paper multiple choice questions at the end section or slide.

Then I will send my students as many practice problems as they feel are appropriate and they can complete before our next lesson. We will then review the exercises in the next lesson and go back over material as needed. The key to succeeding in the exam is to have a strong grasp on the theory and know how to unlock the questions. Both of these are addressed simultaneously as they often go hand in hand.
However, some students may prefer to focus only on exercises or past papers and refer to theory only when needed.

I always like to explore what would work best for my student and make adjustments as necessary.
