Tutoring Experience

I completed a BSc (Hons) in Sociology at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2003, graduating with a 2:1. In 2004, I earned a PGCE in Secondary English from the University of Leeds and have been a qualified teacher for 20 years.

Currently, I work as an in-person tutor, specialising in GCSE English Language and English Literature, and teaching KS3 students. I use a student-centred approach, addressing individual needs and learning styles, and emphasise exam techniques by practising past papers to enhance familiarity with exam formats and improve time management.

In addition to my teaching, I am a trained volunteer counsellor for Childline and a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher. I have taught Yoga classes two days a week for the past three years.
