I have extensive experience teaching IGCSE Biology in both classroom and private tutoring settings. My time as Head of Science at Beştepe Schools and teaching in Turkey and the United States has equipped me with the skills to tailor lessons for diverse learning needs. My role as an IB ESS Examiner has also enhanced my understanding of exam expectations, which I incorporate into tutoring sessions. My IGCSE Biology tutoring approach focuses on targeted preparation for exams. Each session begins with testing students’ prior knowledge and addressing gaps in understanding. I structure lessons around key syllabus topics, integrating past paper questions and interactive presentations to make learning both engaging and effective. Homework assignments reinforce key concepts, and all lesson materials are shared for further revision. By monitoring students closely during online lessons, I ensure active participation and address areas of fatigue with timely breaks. This personalised and exam-focused strategy enables students to gain confidence and achieve their academic goals.
