Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years of tutoring experience. I began tutoring while still at high school; my first clients were several younger students, whom I prepared for their intermediate exams. Since then, I have become a professional tutor and have been awarded the qualification of Lecturer in Chemistry.

I teach privately using modern distant educational technologies that fulfil all the requirements of my students' syllabi, such as visualising chemical reactions and understanding theoretical concepts. These technologies include digital classroom, chemical and physical processes visualisation tools and interactive testing systems.

I also taught at several high schools in Moscow. My responsibilities included delivering lectures in theoretical chemistry, teaching the basics of chemical experiment, and coaching students for their final exams (corresponding to IGSCE). My students have successfully applied for BSc. and MSc. programmes at international and domestic (Russian) universities.

I also have experience of teaching Chemistry at IB-level with students going on to apply for places on BSc. positions in the US and China.

Over the course of my tutoring career, I have assisted a total of 50 secondary school pupils.

Currently I am tutoring several students from different European countries for their IGSCE in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths.

I believe that learning Chemistry is based on the two main things: understanding what exact processes are happening during any chemical or physical transformation and how we can describe them correctly using different approaches. Moreover, every single topic in Chemistry should not be regarded as an abstract thing: it is difficult to find a more practical field of knowledge than Chemistry. I devote a significant portion of my classes to homing my students’ exam technique by going through numerous practice papers.

Physics and Math Tuition Approach

It is impossible to understand the logics and the mechanics of the world without Physics and Math; they represent the language we speak to nature. My main goal as a teacher is to demonstrate that Maths furnishes us with invaluable numerical, logical, and methodological tools which we can apply to a range of STEM subjects. At the same time, Physics provides us with the general understanding of how the world works and I will be able to help you uncover these fundamental principles. After nailing the content, we will focus on practice papers and exam technique, but this step should not be difficult.
