Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring since junior year of high school, where I began with sports and piano tutoring after school. When I began college, I immediately jumped for opportunities to tutor academically. I have tutored extensively on Chegg, as well as in person in my local community for a wide variety of subjects. This year, I began freelance teaching the IB Math HL syllabus online and have branched out into other subjects as well.

These experiences have made me comfortable with both tutoring (academic help with your current classes) and teaching (learning brand new material and/or following a school curriculum).

Tutoring Approach

When I work with a student, I first talk with them to figure out what kind of help is needed, and then structure my lessons based on the information that is needed and the type of student that they are. I find that teaching through examples is the most effective way to learn, and my lessons are hence very flexible, interactive, and example-oriented, regardless of the subject.
