Tutoring Experience

I have 17 years of experience teaching and tutoring Mathematics, with a focus on SAT Maths preparation over the past decade. I’ve guided students to excel by designing customised programs that target key SAT Maths sections, including Algebra, Problem Solving, and Data Analysis. My experience as an IB examiner has equipped me with deep insight into assessing mathematical reasoning and structuring lessons to enhance test performance. Over my career, I’ve tutored over 100 students, refining their skills in mathematical analysis and problem-solving. My emphasis on foundational understanding ensures students retain knowledge and approach the SAT with confidence. Every session is tailored to individual needs, focusing on areas of difficulty and utilising practice questions that simulate real SAT scenarios.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach for SAT Maths begins with an initial consultation to evaluate a student’s strengths and areas of improvement. I provide targeted resources, including sample SAT questions, to assess their starting point. Lessons are strategically planned to address specific challenges while reinforcing the core skills needed for the SAT.

Each session focuses on understanding question types, applying problem-solving techniques, and building speed and accuracy under timed conditions. I regularly provide mock SAT exams and use benchmarks to track progress. Recognising that test preparation can be daunting, I incorporate engaging problem sets that align with the student’s interests, ensuring a focused yet enjoyable learning experience.
