Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience tutoring students specifically for STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper) and other advanced mathematics assessments. This includes:

- GCSE, A-Level Maths, and Further Maths

- International Baccalaureate (IB)

- Maths Olympiad Preparation

- University Entrance Exams, including STEP, MAT, and TMUA

- Undergraduate and Master’s-level mathematics.

As a tutor for Oxford's official MAT training programme, I gained a deep understanding of the challenges students face in entrance exams like STEP. I’ve worked one-to-one and in groups, tailoring my sessions to address common pitfalls and individual needs.

Tutoring Approach

I have developed an extensive collection of STEP-specific resources, designed to strengthen core concepts, problem-solving strategies, and exam techniques. When tackling challenging problems, I provide supplementary exercises to address gaps in understanding efficiently, minimising study hours while maximising results.

I emphasise guided problem-solving, encouraging students to attempt exercises independently before our sessions. This allows us to focus on addressing difficulties, building confidence, and refining skills necessary for success in STEP. My ability to simplify complex topics and adapt to different learning styles ensures that students can approach STEP with clarity and confidence.
