Tutoring Experience

With over 12 years of experience, I have had the pleasure of tutoring students from diverse backgrounds in Biology. My journey began during my master’s studies at the University of Copenhagen, where I started offering private tutoring sessions to students struggling with complex topics in Biology. Over time, I expanded my teaching repertoire to include IB, A-Level, and IGCSE Biology, helping students not only understand the subject but also develop a genuine interest in it.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students aiming for top grades as well as those needing extra support to build their confidence in Biology. My experience includes preparing students for their IB Biology exams, with a focus on developing critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of biological principles. I have a particular interest in ecological and environmental biology, which I integrate into my teaching to provide students with a broader understanding of the subject.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is student-focused and designed to create a supportive and interactive learning environment. I believe that every student has their own strengths, and I aim to identify these strengths to build both confidence and competence in Biology. My lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, incorporating a variety of teaching methods such as case studies, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications of biological concepts.

I emphasize the importance of regular feedback and assessments to track progress and adapt the learning plan as needed. By making the learning process enjoyable and relevant, I strive to instill a lifelong love for Biology in my students, helping them to not only succeed in exams but also appreciate the wonders of the natural world.
