Tutoring Experience

I've provided valuable guidance to students in crafting their personal statements, which has resulted in successful interviews at prestigious institutions like Oxford or Cambridge.

In 2018, I had the privilege of tutoring a student in Maths, Biology, and Economics for their GCSEs, and I take pride in having contributed to their outstanding achievement with A* grades in all three subjects.

Confident in my ability, my degree has equipped me to support students aiming for top grades in Economics up to the degree level. Moreover, I can apply my extensive subject knowledge, acquired through my degree, to help students comprehend and apply the content to real-world scenarios.

Beyond academic assistance, I have experience coaching individuals in job applications and can provide general mentoring to help students maximize their university experience once they begin their studies.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is highly adaptable to the individual student's needs and circumstances. Before our sessions, I prefer to identify the specific areas where students are facing challenges. This way, I can tailor each session to address those particular areas comprehensively.

I encourage students to have a basic understanding of the subject matter before our sessions, allowing us to delve into more nuanced and complex aspects during our time together.

Throughout the session, I aim to actively engage students by encouraging them to apply the knowledge they are acquiring to solve problems. This approach enables me to assess their understanding in real-time and make necessary adjustments as needed.

Following our sessions, I typically assign a few optional problems to reinforce the newly learned content. If the student believes it would be beneficial, we can review these problems at the beginning of our next session to further enhance their comprehension.
