Tutoring Experience

I have over three years of experience tutoring IB English, Psychology, and Visual Arts at both SL and HL levels, helping students build confidence and achieve or exceed their academic goals. Additionally, my year as a teaching assistant in Dubai enriched my understanding of diverse learning styles and allowed me to develop effective teaching strategies. My past students have not only surpassed their target grades but also found the examination process less daunting and felt more prepared overall.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach emphasizes equipping students with proven study and revision techniques, such as the Feynman method and spaced repetition. These strategies help students not only understand the material but also retain it effectively for exams. I believe in tailoring sessions to each student's specific needs, beginning each lesson by identifying areas they need assistance with. I provide personalized resources, including digital flashcards, detailed notes, and structured activities, to address these gaps. Additionally, I incorporate time management techniques to help students organize their studies and make the most of their learning time. By maintaining constant communication, I ensure that lessons remain interactive and adaptable to the student's evolving needs.

When introducing new concepts, I strive to create engaging and enjoyable lessons using interactive presentations and dynamic activities to make the material accessible and stimulating. My goal is to foster a comfortable and open environment where students feel at ease asking questions and tackling challenging topics. I design reading and writing tasks that reinforce their understanding while encouraging active participation in the learning process. By relieving stress and promoting clarity, my approach ensures students gain confidence in their abilities and are well-prepared for their IB journey
