Tutoring Experience

Over the past 5 years, I've taught IB and IGCSE economics to more than 200 students, with over 800 hours of tutoring. My strength lies in conveying complex economic concepts in a simple and intuitive way. Students have consistently seen a significant improvement in their grades, with a majority scoring a level 7 in IB and A* in IGCSE.


I've mentored students on their economics extended essays, guiding them through research, analysis, and writing processes. Additionally, I've helped students prepare for their Theory of Knowledge assignments, honing their critical thinking skills. I've also been a volunteer tutor for underprivileged children in Singapore, teaching them English and Maths.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in a student-centric approach to tutoring. First, we assess the student's understanding of the syllabus and identify areas they struggle with. For exam preparations, we study past papers to understand the exam structure, question format, and marking scheme. The students then attempt these papers under timed conditions, simulating the actual exam environment. Their work is reviewed meticulously, focusing on improving their analytical skills and writing precision.


When it comes to extended essays, I guide them in structuring their arguments coherently, ensuring their research is thorough and their analysis is accurate. I believe in giving constructive feedback to help students learn from their mistakes and improve.
