Tutoring Experience

Over the past five years, I've had the rewarding experience of tutoring IB Mathematics to students both in Italy and internationally. With over 1000 hours of one-to-one tutoring, I have had the opportunity to guide students of various backgrounds and learning styles. I've helped students overcome their fear of Mathematics and witnessed their transformation into confident problem solvers.

My students have consistently improved their scores and reached their academic goals, and their successes have been my greatest achievements as an educator. I've developed my tutoring skills through my diverse experiences, from teaching students struggling with basic concepts to helping high-achievers prepare for challenging exams.

Besides private tutoring, I've also contributed as a volunteer Maths tutor at a local community center. Regardless of the setting, I've always strived to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as I believe these are integral parts of the learning process.

I then tailor my lessons accordingly, aiming to build a strong foundation and enhance understanding of key concepts. I encourage active learning by asking probing questions and engaging students in problem-solving exercises.

My lessons are not just about explaining theories, but about guiding students to discover the answers themselves. This process helps improve critical thinking skills and enhances their self-confidence. I also make a concerted effort to connect the abstract concepts in Mathematics with real-world applications, making the subject more relevant and interesting.

I regularly assess the progress of my students, ensuring that they are on track to achieve their goals. This assessment also enables me to revise my teaching strategy, if needed. Ultimately, I aim to foster a positive attitude towards Mathematics, boosting my students' self-confidence and equipping them with the skills necessary to tackle challenges independently.
