Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring IB and IGCSE Physics for over five years, covering more than 300 hours of private classes. I have helped students from various backgrounds improve their understanding of Physics concepts and their problem-solving abilities. My past experience includes teaching groups in a private tuition centre, where I handled a diverse range of learners from different nationalities and age groups.

Over the years, I have successfully guided students through their coursework, extended essays, and exam preparations. In addition to content comprehension, I focus on enhancing my students' confidence and time management skills. It gives me immense satisfaction to see the improvement in their grades and their growing interest in Physics.

Outside of formal education, I've volunteered to teach in after-school programs for underprivileged children, focusing on Science and Mathematics. These experiences have honed my ability to explain complex ideas in simple and understandable ways.

Tutoring Approach

My primary goal as a tutor is to instil in my students a deep understanding of Physics. We begin by identifying the areas in which they are struggling and their current level of understanding. Based on this, I tailor lessons to fill in gaps in their knowledge and build a strong foundation.

For exams, I ensure my students understand the physics principles in depth, and then we practice applying this knowledge using past exam questions. We also focus on improving their problem-solving speed and accuracy. During revision, I place emphasis on helping them organise their notes and thoughts efficiently.

When working on coursework or extended essays, I assist students in brainstorming ideas, designing experiments, and structuring their work logically. I provide constructive feedback on their drafts, helping to polish their arguments and improve their academic writing skills. Throughout this process, I encourage independent thought and aim to nurture a genuine love for Physics in my students.
