Tutoring Experience
As a volunteer tutor, I tutored students in A-Level Mathematics, A-Level Economics and taught a student that was particularly struggling with GCSE English and was working at a grade 4.
Both my A-Level students received A*’s in their subjects and Rania, my GCSE student achieved an 8 after 4 months of weekly tutoring.
Tutoring Approach
The key to improvement is practice. Therefore, using past exam papers, I go through solutions step-by-step ensuring my tutees understand each line of working. Exams can be perfected using exemplar past papers to understand what examiners are looking for in terms of content and technique. To answer the short answer questions, I teach the tutees the logic pertaining to each one and use student examples to give tutees a plethora of material that they can incorporate into their work.
