Tutoring Experience

Over the past decade, I've guided over 200 students through their IGCSE and IB Economics curriculum. My teaching experience spans across private tutoring sessions, online learning platforms, and as a guest lecturer in economics in various educational institutes in the UAE. I've been instrumental in helping students increase their understanding of complex economic theories, enhancing their problem-solving abilities, and boosting their confidence in tackling examination questions. It's not just about understanding supply and demand or studying market structures in theory; it's about connecting those principles to real-world scenarios that my students encounter. This practical approach not only enhances their understanding but also fosters an interest in the subject beyond the textbook.

For exam preparation, I focus on developing effective study techniques and exam strategies. I encourage students to analyse past paper questions, identify common themes, and build a strong conceptual framework to tackle them. We also work on improving essay writing skills, focusing on constructing cogent arguments, making effective use of data and diagrams, and crisp presentation.

When working on IAs and EEs, I guide students through each step - from topic selection, to research, to drafting, and finally, revision. My aim is not just to ensure high grades, but also to cultivate critical thinking and independent research skills in my students.
