The next set of ports, from 1024 to 49151, are the registered ports. They are less commonly used and are typically assigned to user processes or programs. An application running on a device can choose any port in this range to communicate over the network, as long as it is not being used by another process.
The remaining ports, from 49152 to 65535, are dynamic or private ports and are often used for temporary communications, commonly known as ephemeral ports. These are typically used for active processes or short-lived sessions.
